Choose your gift
Every option includes a real star, chosen by us and dedicated in the Named Skies register, and a certificate by email. The bundles add a 12 × 16 in (30 × 40 cm) print of your night sky, with their star circled in gold.
A symbolic gift, clearly explained. Official star names are set only by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). The name you choose is recorded in the Named Skies register and is not used by astronomers. The star itself is real, and you can find it with the coordinates on your certificate.

We sell and ship to the United States, Canada and Australia. Secure checkout with Stripe: card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in your local currency where available. At checkout you tell us the name for the star and the date (for prints also the time and city). We check every order before it is printed.
How it works
Tell us your night
The name for the star, and the date, time and city of your moment: when you met, got engaged, or a child was born.
We choose your star
A real star that rises high over your city and isn't in our register yet. Your certificate arrives by email within 1 business day.
Your sky, printed
We calculate the sky for your date and city from the same star catalog, then print it in a lab near you and ship it free.
Real sky, real star
The map is not a pretty pattern: it is the actual sky above your city at that moment, calculated from the Hipparcos star catalog, with the constellations drawn in.
Your star gets its catalog number, its position (right ascension and declination) and its constellation on the certificate. Open any free star-chart app, search for the number, and it shows you exactly where to look.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper, 12 × 16 in (30 × 40 cm), in a print lab in the US, Canada or Australia.
Questions
Is this an official star name?
No, it's a symbolic name (see the note above the prices). The star itself is real: look up its catalog number in any star-chart app.
When does it arrive?
The certificate: by email within 1 business day. The print: sent to a lab in the US, Canada or Australia within 1 to 2 business days, then usually delivered within 7 to 12 business days. If it's delayed, we email you a new date and you can cancel for a full refund. If we can't deliver, you get your money back.
Can you ship it straight to them as a gift?
Yes. Enter their address as the shipping address. There is no price on the packing slip, and the certificate goes to your email so you can forward or print it.
What if the print arrives damaged?
Email a photo to [email protected] within 30 days and we'll send a new one or refund you, your choice.
Can I return it?
Each print is made to order with your names and dates, so we can't take back a print that was made correctly just because you changed your mind. You can cancel for a full refund until we send your order to print (normally within 1 to 2 business days). This doesn't limit your rights under consumer law, such as the Australian Consumer Law.
Do you ship to the UK or Europe?
Not yet: for now we sell to customers in the United States, Canada and Australia only.
